Falafel


For the falafel balls I used a box mix that you add water to and fry.

Tzatziki sauce:
plain yogurt
lemon juice (it's worth it to use a fresh lemon whenever possible)
dill (fresh)
cucumber (chopped into little cubes)
garlic
salt/pepper

Prep time: about 15 minutes

  1. I have only had falafel once and it was horrid- tasted like burnt grease. I need to give this another shot. Yours looks delish, especially the sauce!

  2. How does the box mix turn out? I've had authentic falafel's in Israel and they were delicious. The sauce looks really good.

  3. I'm sure what you had in Isreal was way better! I have never made falafel from scratch (yet) so I don't have much to compare the box mix with. It was satisfactory, quick, and perhaps a little less crunchy then from a restaurant, even though I thoroughly fried them.
